We are very proud to be a partner in Villa Paraiso, North Florida's first USGBC LEED Platinum home.  In 2008, during Tropical Storm Fay, this home was destroyed by winds and flood waters. The owners decided that when they rebuilt, they would build their “dream home” and incorporate green building designs into the plan. Little did they know how far they would go with that goal in mind.

The home will incorporate energy saving appliances and lighting, photovoltaic solar panels, geothermal heating and cooling, natural day lighting as well as extensive use of recycled and sustainable materials. The owners, design team, and construction team are
attempting to achieve Platinum, the highest level of USGBC LEED certification. This designation means that home has achieved an extraordinary number of LEED credits in its design and construction.  The project has been recognized by Jacksonville Mayor John Peyton and Senator Bill Nelson for the decision to re-build using the latest “green” technologies.
